Attempted drug deal leads to stabbing under Loop 410 bridge on West Side, police say

Victim was stabbed in armpit and shoulder

SAN ANTONIO – A man who refused to buy drugs from another man was stabbed under a bridge on the West Side on Wednesday night, police said.

The stabbing happened after 10 p.m. at Loop 410 and Marbach Road.

Police said a man was under the bridge when another man approached him and asked if he wanted to buy drugs.

When the man refused, the other man remained but was later told to leave. He ended up attacking the man who refused to buy drugs and stabbed him in the armpit and shoulder, police said.

The victim was taken to University Hospital in stable condition. His attacker fled the scene.
