The Miss Tristan Foundation offers free CPR classes to families and businesses in our community.
The nonprofit was formed after 2-year-old Tristan Bird tragically drowned. Her father started the Miss Tristan Foundation as a way to make sure families could be aware of water safety and how to administer CPR.
“The likelihood of someone needing CPR is going to be someone you love,” said Jenny Shreve, the development CPR director for the foundation.
The foundation offers free CPR classes. The CPR classes can teach you how to administer CPR on adults, children and infants. It also teaches you how to properly use an AED.
Shreve says it’s important for everyone to learn CPR before it’s too late.
“We offer these services to people who just want to learn the skills, be prepared in the results of a tragic event of an emergency,” Shreve said.
Taking this class does not make you CPR certified.
