2 people shot in front of East Side home in apparent drive-by; man in critical condition, SAPD says

Shooting happened around 11 p.m. in 200 block of G Street

SAN ANTONIO – A man in his 20s and a woman in her 30s are in the hospital after being shot outside a home in an apparent drive-by shooting late Sunday night, according to San Antonio police.

The shooting happened around 11 p.m. at a home in the 200 block of G Street, not far from Clark Avenue and Roland Road on the city’s East Side.

According to police, the man and the woman were both outside the home in the yard where a few people had gathered when a dark-colored vehicle drove down the street and someone inside started firing.

Police said the man was shot in the head and the woman in the leg by the gunfire. The man was taken by ambulance to Brooke Army Medical Center in critical condition and the woman was transported to the hospital in “stable” condition.

The San Antonio Police Department, the San Antonio Fire Department, and EMS all responded to the call.

So far, no arrests have been made. A motive for the shooting is not currently known.
