SAN ANTONIO – A home in Northwest Bexar County sustained substantial damage following a fire overnight.
The fire broke out at around 1 a.m. Thursday in the 8000 block of Bluewater Cove, not far from Galm and Culebra Roads.
Firefighters arrived to find smoke and fire coming from a car in the garage, according to a battalion chief for Bexar County District 7 Fire & Rescue.
Flames spread to the second floor of the home, but firefighters were able to knock the fire down. The home had substantial fire and smoke damage.
Residents got out of the home safely, and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
