SAN ANTONIO – Crews with the Texas Department of Transportation are pre-treating roadways in the San Antonio area on Sunday for the possibility of ice accumulation.

TxDOT is asking drivers to watch out for work convoys on the roads.

According to KSAT meteorologists, a glaze of light ice will occur Sunday night into Monday morning, mainly in the form of freezing drizzle/rain, and perhaps a few pockets of sleet.

Bridges, overpasses and elevated surfaces will need to be monitored for a few slick spots for those heading out early Monday,

A hard freeze is now expected Monday morning, with temperatures dipping down into the low 20s and upper teens in San Antonio.
