Firefighters said they arrived to find flames in the closet of a second floor apartment. They managed to get a quick stop to the fire.

Fire officials said the downstairs neighbor had heard a noise coming from above and went to knock on the door and felt the heat. They then reported the fire.

The SAFD said the residents of the apartment were not home and have not yet been contacted by the fire department. Damage to the apartment is estimated at around $15,000.

The San Antonio Fire Department, the San Antonio Police Department and EMS all responded to the call.

The cause of the fire is not currently known.
