Woman killed by police after attacking officers with homemade weapons, Balcones Heights police say

She was allegedly Tased multiple times, but it did not impact her

SAN ANTONIO – A 49-year-old woman is dead after officers shot her on the inner Northwest Side, Balcones Heights police say.

The shooting happened around 8:00 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of N. Crossroads Boulevard.

According to Balcones Heights Police Chief John Jahanara, the woman had attacked officers with homemade weapons and broke a patrol vehicle’s rear window before she was shot.

Police said the woman was also Tased multiple times, but it did not impact her.
