La Vernia resident wins $7.5 million Texas Lottery scratch game

LA VERNIA, Texas – A La Vernia resident won $7.5 million in a Texas Lottery scratch game.

The winner, who wants to remain anonymous, bought the winning ticket at a Shell Food Mart located in the 13500 block of Highway 87 in La Vernia.

The winning ticket was the second of four top prizes to be claimed in the Loteria Supreme game, the Texas Lottery said in a news release.

The scratch game, which costs $100 to play, offers more than $709.9 million in total prizes.

Overall odds of winning any prize in the game are one in 3.23, including break-even prizes.
