Attempted robbery on West Side leads to 12 detained, 2 arrested, SAPD says

It’s not clear where the initial robbery took place

SAN ANTONIO – Twelve people were detained, and two were arrested after police were led to an apartment following an attempted robbery on the West Side, according to San Antonio police.

Police said a call for the robbery came around 4 p.m. Monday.

At some point, two individuals ran to an apartment near Potosi Street and South Hamilton Avenue and were later detained, police said.

Ten people from inside the apartment were also detained; however, police did not indicate if any had involvement in the alleged robbery.

A third person was thought to be involved, but after canvassing the area, police eventually cleared the scene.

It was not immediately clear where the initial robbery took place.

No injuries were reported.
