Man who escaped from Bexar County Courthouse in handcuffs back in custody, BCSO says

UPDATE, Tuesday at 10:40 p.m.:

A man who escaped from custody at the Bexar County Courthouse was located late Tuesday night, an updated BCSO Facebook post said.

Shortly before 9:30 p.m., Pedro Andres Escamilla, 27, was put into the custody of the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

He was located near Interstate 35 and Camaron Street, the post said.

BCSO said Escamilla was transported to the Bexar County Jail and would receive an escape charge.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who escaped custody from the Bexar County Courthouse.

Pedro Andres Escamilla, 27, was in handcuffs and was in the courthouse for a hearing on charges of possession and criminal trespassing.

Escamilla was in handcuffs and was last seen running south from the courthouse along the River Walk wearing a khaki shirt and khaki pants. He may have taken his shirt off.
