Three teens arrested in Northeast Side shooting, SAPD says

Man, 18, hospitalized in critical condition

SAN ANTONIO – Three teenagers were arrested in connection with the shooting of an 18-year-old man on the Northeast Side, according to San Antonio police.

Officers were called to the 5100 block of North Foster Road around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday for a shooting call.

Police found a man on the ground outside his vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital in critical condition. They also found two vehicles close to where the man was parked.

Officers were called to the area of Hedges and Walters streets for a suspicious vehicle, which they later confirmed matched the description of the shooting suspects’ vehicle. Police determined the car had been reported stolen.

Police set up a quadrant around the home in the 500 block of South Walters, where the suspicious vehicle had fled, and called out to the people inside. This led to an hours-long partial lockdown of St. Philip’s College on Tuesday afternoon.

The suspects — a 16-year-old, a 17-year-old and a 19-year-old — exited the home and were taken into custody. Police said they were booked on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
