Arndt said construction on the Green Line is slated to start in 2025. It would run from the San Antonio International Airport to the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park on the South Side.

Arndt also said that VIA is close to securing $102 million in local funding to move forward on the Silver Line, which would run east and west through downtown and connect the area near Our Lady of the Lake University to the Frost Bank Center.

Arndt also announced that he will retire at the end of the year.
