Man arrested for throwing rocks and damaging several Northwest Side businesses, SAPD says

Man was charged with four counts of criminal mischief

SAN ANTONIO – A man has been arrested after he was seen throwing rocks and damaging several businesses on the Northwest Side, according to San Antonio police.

Officers were called to the 900 block of Bandera Road around 6 a.m. Wednesday for reports of criminal mischief.

Several callers told police a man was throwing rocks at several businesses, police said in a preliminary report. Police observed multiple broken windows across the five affected businesses.

Officers located the 33-year-old suspect nearby and detained him.

Managers for some of the businesses gave police access to their respective security footage, which showed the man throwing the rocks, police said.

The man was arrested on four counts of criminal mischief and an unrelated warrant, the report said.

A fifth nearby business was also damaged; however, it is unclear if the man will be charged for the damage.

Police did not specify if the suspect took anything from the businesses.
