2 suspects arrested after attempted car theft, vehicle chase, BCSO says

SAN ANTONIO – Two suspects are in custody after leading the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office on a vehicle chase stemming from an attempted vehicle theft.

According to a preliminary report from BCSO, the two suspects attempted to break into a vehicle at a home in the 9800 block of Marbach Hill just after 1 a.m. Monday.

The homeowner went outside to check on the disturbance, and one of the suspects shot at the homeowner, BCSO said.

The two suspects drove off in a different vehicle. Nearby deputies attempted to stop the vehicle to no avail.

The San Antonio Police Department’s EAGLE helicopter assisted with the pursuit, the report said.

BCSO later caught the suspects and took them into custody. The report did not specify where the arrest took place.

No one was injured. BCSO said its investigation was ongoing.
