Man injured after over 40 shots fired during Northwest Side drive-by, SAPD says

Victim taken to hospital for gunshot wound to leg

SAN ANTONIO – A man was injured after over 40 shots were fired during a drive-by shooting on the Northwest Side, according to San Antonio police.

The man, 39, was sitting on the front porch of a home in the 1400 block of West Woodlawn Avenue just before 10 p.m. Monday.

A blue sedan pulled in front of the house, and three people got out and started firing toward the man, according to a preliminary report from SAPD.

Over 40 shots were fired, some from different weapons, according to police.

The man was taken to the hospital in stable condition with a gunshot wound to his leg.

SAPD detectives are investigating and looking for the vehicle.
