SAPD, Crime Stoppers searching for driver in fatal hit-and-run

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police and Crime Stoppers are asking for public assistance in locating a person who contributed to the death of a 35-year-old woman.

Jasmine Gill was fatally struck by a vehicle on Nov. 7 on U.S. Highway 281 near the East Mulberry Avenue exit ramp.

According to police, Gill was walking across an area of the highway where pedestrians are prohibited.

As Gill walked along the road, police said a driver of a Ford Bronco heading in the same direction collided with her.

SAPD said that another vehicle, believed to be a Hyundai Elantra, struck Gill along the highway afterward. The driver fled from the scene and did not provide aid to Gill, according to police.

The driver of the Ford Bronco remained on the scene and cooperated with SAPD’s investigation.
