Woman hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being hit by car on North Side, SAPD says

Police: Driver stopped and is not facing any charges

SAN ANTONIO – A woman was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was hit by a car while crossing the street on the North Side, according to San Antonio police.

The crash happened in the 6800 block of San Pedro Avenue just before 7 a.m. Tuesday.

The woman, believed to be between 30 and 45 years old, attempted to cross the street inside a crosswalk when it was unsafe, police said.

A driver traveling south on San Pedro passed through their green light and hit the woman, according to police.

Police said both attempted to miss the other, but the car ended up hitting the woman.

The woman was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, EMS officials said.

The driver stopped, and police said they would not face any charges.
