Homeowner shoots, kills man during argument in driveway of home, SAPD says

Man pronounced dead at local hospital; homeowner cooperating with the investigation

SAN ANTONIO – A homeowner shot and killed a man during an argument in the driveway of a home west of downtown, according to San Antonio police.

The shooting happened around 7:40 p.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of San Fernando Street.

The man was looking for someone who lives at the home, but that person was not there.

A sergeant on the scene told KSAT that the man argued with another person, who police described as the homeowner.

Police said the homeowner eventually fired a gunshot at some point during the argument, and the man was struck at least once in his chest.

The man was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead, SAPD said.

The homeowner is cooperating with SAPD’s investigation. It’s unclear if he’ll face any charges.
