Multiple residents evacuated from Northwest Side fire, SAFD says

Firefighters say no injuries were reported

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Fire Department said multiple people had to be evacuated from a house fire on the Northwest Side.

The fire happened just after 1:30 a.m. Sunday in the 6000 block of Les Harrison Drive, which is located near Loop 1604 and Culebra Road.

Fire officials said SAPD officers, who also responded to the scene, worked quickly to get the residents out of the home.

It is unclear how many people were evacuated from the home. Firefighters did not report any injuries.

SAFD said firefighters knocked down the fire — which was confined to one room in the back of the home — before it had a chance to spread.

The department said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
