Police seek driver who left former co-worker in vehicle after crashing on West Side

Man, 59, injured in crash on the Loop 410 access road at Highway 151

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are investigating a crash that left a 59-year-old man injured early Monday morning on the West Side.

The crash happened on the Loop 410 access road at Highway 151 just before 2:40 a.m.

Officers found a vehicle crashed on an embankment.

The 59-year-old man, who was in the front passenger seat, had a laceration on his head but refused transport by emergency medical services, police said.

Preliminary reports indicate that the 59-year-old man and the other man, both former co-workers, had met at a nearby restaurant. After sharing drinks, one of the men offered to drive the 59-year-old man in his own car.

The 59-year-old man was unable to provide details about the crash or recall the other man fleeing the scene.

The other man remains unidentified.
