18-year-old dies after multiple shooters open fire on West Side home, SAPD says

SAN ANTONIO – A man is dead after multiple shooters fired into a home on the West Side, according to San Antonio police.

Officers responded around 6 p.m. Monday to the 300 block of Adaes Avenue for reports of a shooting.

Witnesses told police that approximately four to six men, who they say were believed to be between 15 and 18 years old, fired gunshots in the back of the house.

The gunfire struck an 18-year-old man, police said. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died.

A sergeant at the scene told KSAT that the shooters used rifles and wore hoodies with their faces covered. SAPD said they fled on foot. Police said there were approximately five or six gunshots fired from an alley to the back of the house.

SAPD is still searching for the suspects in this case.
