SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified a teenager who was fatally shot in a targeted attack on the East Side.
Brison Jackson, 17, whose death is being investigated as a homicide, died from gunshot wounds, according to the ME’s office.
San Antonio police said officers responded to the call around 7 p.m. Monday to the 6100 block of Interstate 10 East.
Police said Jackson was in his vehicle when he was shot multiple times. He attempted to drive off but ended up rolling into a fence, SAPD said.
Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were several types of guns used in the shooting, according to police. Officers found around 70 shell casings at the scene.
Ashley Wood and her family were eating dinner nearby in their camper when they heard the gunfire.
“I thought it was fireworks at first,” Wood said. “It went off and then it stopped and then there was more.”
She said the gunfire lasted for minutes and police investigated the scene for hours.
“It was pretty insane,” Wood said.
Police said they don’t have any information on the shooter or shooters.
