Seguin police searching for persons of interest who may have vandalized ‘Wendy the Squirrel’ statue

SEGUIN, Texas – Seguin police said it is looking for persons of interest who may have vandalized a statue called “Wendy the Squirrel.”

Authorities responded to a criminal mischief call on Thursday in front of City Hall in the 200 block of North River Street, authorities said in a Facebook post.

When police arrived, officers said they discovered the statue was vandalized.

The statue was unveiled in honor of Seguin resident Wendy Parker less than two months ago, police said.

Seguin police said it obtained and shared surveillance footage that captured individuals near the statue at the time of the incident.
