The restaurant aims to bring flavorful Korean food to the Alamo City, including options such as Beef Short Ribs (Galbee), Dak Bulgogi (Chicken) and Gyeob Sal (Sliced Pork Belly).

Vegetarian options are available, as well as mixings, like kimchee and broccoli, according to the statement.

Dae Gee Korean BBQ offers an interactive dining experience by allowing customers to cook their meat on grill tops at their tables.

“San Antonio has become quite a culinary destination in recent years and we’re excited to bring Dae Gee’s great food, endless flavors, and interactive dining experience to the area. We have no doubt the community will love it,” said Anahi Resendez, who owns and operates the new restaurant with her husband, Tommy Nguyen, and her parents, Ovidio and Ana Resendez.

Dae Gee Korean BBQ is a Denver-based franchise and was featured on the Food Network in Guy Fieri’s show “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.”

According to their statement, the Korean chain has seven restaurants open now and plans to open five to ten more over the next year.

Dae Gee Korean BBQ is open daily. Hours are Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
