STOCKDALE, Texas – A Stockdale ISD employee has resigned following accusations of “inappropriate conduct,” district Superintendent Todd Deaver announced in a news release.

District administration learned of accusations involving the employee on Feb. 10 and immediately launched an investigation, Deaver said.

The employee has since resigned and is no longer employed with the district.

Deaver said until an indictment has been issued, the district is unable to release the employee’s name in accordance with Texas Penal Code.

“The safety of every student and their well being is the highest priority here at Stockdale ISD. We are cooperating fully with the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office and will continue in order to protect the safety and welfare of our students at Stockdale ISD,” Deaver said. “Due to the sensitivity of this matter and to protect the privacy of the student and families, we are very limited on the information we are able to share regarding the allegations.”

Additional information was not immediately available.
