SAN ANTONIO – A man hit by a driver who later fled the West Side scene late Sunday has died, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The ME’s office identified the victim as Jesus Hernandez Montes, 38. His cause of death was blunt force injuries to the head.
The incident happened just before 11 p.m. in the 100 block of S General McMullen.
Montes, according to San Antonio police, was crossing the street inside a crosswalk when he was hit by a pickup truck that later fled the scene.
Montes was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died.
