SAN ANTONIO – A woman accused of using her car as a deadly weapon against two people reportedly argued with those two victims moments prior to the crash, San Antonio police say.
Dionisiah Edwards-Carpeal, 36, was arrested moments after the crash Monday evening in the Medical Center area.
She faces charges of murder and aggravated assault.
A preliminary police report says Edwards-Carpeal intentionally hit a 37-year-old woman and 39-year-old man in a parking lot on Data Point Drive, not far from Wurzbach Road.
It says she initially began following the pair in her car as they left a nearby restaurant, then arguing with them from her car window.
At some point, police believe she purposely aimed the car at them.
The female victim died later at a hospital.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the Bexar County Medical Examiner still had not positively identified her.
Police did not give an update on the man’s condition, nor did they explain whether the suspect and victims knew one another.
