SAN ANTONIO – A man who was shot to death in a Chick-fil-A parking lot on the city's North Side held on to the vehicle while it was in motion before he attempted to kick in the windshield, San Antonio police said Monday.
According to a preliminary police report, the man, who died Sunday afternoon, was at first holding onto the car after the driver attempted to run over him.

Police said the victim was with three men and a woman in a small black sedan when a fight broke out inside the car as it went through the intersection of Loop 410 and McCullough.
The victim got out of the vehicle and the driver then attempted to run him over. The man clung to the car as it rolled into the Chick-fil-A parking lot nearby, police said.
Investigators said the victim then climbed onto the hood of the car and kicked at the windshield until someone inside the vehicle pulled out a handgun and shot him.
The man died at the scene, police said. Several witnesses where taken to police headquarters for questioning.
SAPD said they are still searching for the accused shooter and the other people inside the black sedan.
The name of the victim is not known.
