SAN ANTONIO – Police were called to a Far NE Side neighborhood around 2 a.m. Saturday for a report of a crash, but when they arrived, they found a man dead from a gunshot wound.
Police believe the victim, a 25-year-old man, was shot somewhere in the area of Fountainwood and Cradlewood streets before his car hit a tree in the front yard of a home.

Authorities said they have no suspects in the shooting. They located a single shell casing in the 5800 block of Fountainwood Street, south of where the victim was found dead.
The victim has not yet been identified.
