SAN ANTONIO – A man was critically wounded in a shooting Friday morning on the city's Northeast Side.

The victim was shot in the head and chest, and was listed in critical but stable condition, McManus said.

The chief said the shooting wasn't a random act of violence, but didn't he didn't know of a motive.

McManus said it doesn't appear that the shooting is related to a pair of shootings on the city's East Side, including a drive-by incident that killed a 4-year-old boy late Thursday.
