SAN ANTONIO – Paula Deen's Family Kitchen is coming to the Alamo City.
Records with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission show the cooking star filed for a permit to serve alcohol at the Rim Shopping Center. The permit has not yet been approved.

The former cooking show host announced she would open two Texas locations -- one in Dallas and another in San Antonio.
The Dallas location is slated to open in spring of 2018. A timetable for the San Antonio location has not been announced.
Earlier this month, Deen posted job openings at her yet-to-be-opened locations in San Antonio and Dallas.
Deen's restaurants serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and offer "family style dining," described on the menu as "a family style spread of hearty down home dishes with Paula’s famous sides. And as sure as day follows night, dessert will be served."
