SAN ANTONIO – On Tuesday, San Antonio's Pearl was selected as one of 13 winners of the Urban Land Institute's 2017-2018 Global Awards for Excellence.
The award is presented to developments with innovative approaches to design and development.

The Pearl joins 12 other award winning projects in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia including a hotel/office space in Singapore with "sky gardens" and vertical greenery and a "smart city" in Japan

ULI's Global Awards for Excellence is considered among the most prestigious land use award programs.
The Peal is a project 15 years in the making, featuring the Culinary Institute of America of San Antonio, 19 restaurants, 14 retailers, Hotel Emma, Can Plant apartments and Cellars luxury apartments.
During the summer of 2017, the Pearl also opened the Bottling Department Food Hall.
