Police seek suspect in robbery of woman at convenience store

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department and Crime Stoppers want the public’s assistance in tracking down the person responsible for an aggravated robbery.

The incident occurred Tuesday, Oct. 10 in the 2300 block of Babcock Road.

According to police, the victim was befriended by an unknown woman while waiting to ride a bus downtown. The victim and the suspect got on the bus together and rode a few blocks to a convenience store and that's when, police say, the suspect placed an object behind her back and demanded both her money and cell phone.

The suspect is described as a likely 20 to 30-year-old woman approximately 250 lbs with short black hair. She was wearing a black short sleeve polo shirt with white stripes at the time.

Anyone with any knowledge of the robbery is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (210) 224-STOP.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
