WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Will Hurd plans to hold a series of town hall meetings in August at local Dairy Queens throughout South and West Texas.
According to a news release, the third annual DC2DQ trip is a series of informal public meet-and-greets that are open to the public and aimed at offering District 23 constituents a chance to engage with the Republican congressman.

To accommodate what's expected to be large crowds, not all of the meetings will be held at Dairy Queen restaurants, the news release said.
Special guests for each stop will be announced in upcoming weeks.
Following are tentative dates and communities where the town hall meetings will be held:
- Sunday, Aug. 6: El Paso, Clint
- Monday, Aug. 7: Presidio, Alpine, Fort Stockton
- Tuesday, Aug. 8: Pecos, Kermit, Monahans
- Wednesday, Aug. 9: Ozona, Del Rio, Eagle Pass
- Thursday, Aug. 10: Carrizo Springs, Uvalde, Hondo
- Friday, Aug. 11: Devine, Pearsall, Dilley, Cotulla
- Saturday, Aug. 12: Castroville, Somerset, Helotes
