Shots fired into Von Ormy strip club

Shooting may be related to earlier incident, investigators say

VON ORMY, Texas – Someone fired about a dozen shots -- possibly more -- into the front door of a strip club in Von Ormy early Tuesday morning.

Bexar County sheriff's deputies answered the call from the business, which is located along Interstate 35 south near Benton City Road, just before 4 a.m.

Officials called in crime scene investigators who used markers to map out 15 pieces of evidence on the ground outside the front door. They said the majority of those represented shell casings that they found at the scene.

Deputies also located bullet holes in the front door, which features a sign saying, 'No weapons allowed inside."

Deputies said no one inside the club was hit. In fact, one patron told KSAT 12 News that many people weren't even aware of the shooting.

Investigators said they were trying to determine whether the gunfire was connected to an earlier incident in which some people were thrown out of the club.

They believe the shooter left the area in a vehicle.
