CONVERSE, Texas – A shooting Monday night outside a Whataburger in Northeast Bexar County that left a 15-year-old dead is related to the shooting death of a 16-year-old boy in Converse, sources told KSAT 12 News.
The victim from Monday's shooting attended a candlelight vigil at 7 p.m. honoring Reginald "Reggie" Adams at the Town Square Apartments in Converse, where he was killed Sunday.

A woman said a fight broke out at the vigil involving the 15-year-old and the shooter. A source, who works with young people in the Converse area, said the fight wasn't related to Adam's death but was just harsh words exchanged between the two.
At 9:30 p.m., the two coincidentally went to a nearby Whataburger at Farm to Market Road 78 and Walzem Road, where the shooter pulled out a rifle and opened fire on the teen.
Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar wouldn't confirm the connection but said that more deputies will be patrolling the area.
"We're going to be reallocating some of the resources from the Violent Crimes Task Force. Additionally, I've spoken to the command staff over at Converse PD and Kirby PD," Salazar said. "Area residents will see a dramatic increase in manpower in that area, and we're going to make sure this doesn't continue."

Salazar said investigators have "promising information" that may result in arrests.
Converse police arrested one man in connection with Adam's death. They are still looking for two other people who may be connected to the shooting.
