Storms move through SA Thursday morning, more in forecast

SAN ANTONIO – Another round of showers and thunderstorms moved through the San Antonio area early Thursday morning.  

KSAT Weather Authority Meteorologist Mike Osterhage says a flash flood watch was issued for Bexar and surrounding counties effective until 10 a.m.

Rainfall totals of 2 to 3 inches were possible overnight.

Mike says the heaviest rain moved out of San Antonio, but light to moderate showers continued to hit the southern part of the area,

The City of Olmos Park closed the gates at Dick Friedrick and Devine due to heavy rainfall. 

Mike says even more heavy rain is expected this weekend through Memorial Day.
