“We, like the rest of our community, were horrified to learn of the tragedy in Sutherland Springs at the First Baptist Church. We are keeping everyone impacted by this malicious act in our thoughts and our prayers,” Schlitterbahn officials posted in a statement released Monday.
Security guards for Schlitterbahn must pass a background check before beginning employment.
Kelley passed the Texas Department of Public Safety background check prior to beginning work at the water park.
