UT System receives multimillion-dollar grant

AUSTIN – The University of Texas System has received a $2 million grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
 
UT leaders say they will use the money to implement and evaluate next-generation learning models. The goal is to have more first generation students graduate from college.
               
The University of Texas System supports 14 institutions of higher education across Texas. That includes two in the Alamo City, University of Texas at San Antonio and UT Health Science Center San Antonio.
