SAN ANTONIO – VIA Metropolitan Transit unveiled its VIVA Passport on Monday for the upcoming holiday season.
The passport is a free collectible booklet that contains offers from VIA partners with venues, storefronts and events. It also provides helpful information and guidance to plan a trip or a whole day of exploring downtown.
For a $2.75 day pass, riders get unlimited rides on the VIVA Culture (Route 11), VIVA Missions (Route 40), and VIVA Centro (Route 301) corridors.
"This passport, specifically, includes some discounts for entrances at museums, for example," VIA President and CEO Jeffrey Arndt said. "So during the holiday season, the perfect way for your friends and family who come to San Antonio. Shop, visit the museums, eat the great food of San Antonio, and for $2.75 all day long."
VIVA Passports are available aboard VIA buses, VIA Transit Centers, the Visit San Antonio Visitors Center and at participating partner locations.
Arndt said the collaboration between VIA and its partners is meant to get more residents to ride public transportation downtown and cultural corridors.
