SAN ANTONIO – A Northside Independent School District officer has been placed on administrative leave after a video posted to Facebook appears to show the officer forcing a student to the ground after breaking up a fight.
The incident occurred at Rawlinson Middle School on Monday. The video was shared to Facebook on Tuesday.

“The Northside ISD police department and our district’s human resources department are both conducting a full investigation into this matter,” district spokesman Barry Perez said in a statement Thursday morning.
He said the officer has been with Northside ISD since 2006 and has had no disciplinary issues during his tenure.
Child Protective Services was also notified of the incident, according to Perez.
