SAN ANTONIO – Despite a steady drizzle, family and friends gathered Sunday to remember 30-year-old Antwan Jones.
"Antwan, I miss you and love you and I'm sorry, I don't know what to do. I'm just being strong," said Jones' mother, Tina Jones.
Antwan Jones was shot and killed late Saturday night at a home in the 300 block of Vine Street.
Tina Jones said her son was a good man and dedicated father.
"We got friends here and he got a whole lot of friends that I didn't know he had, but they (are) all here to help us be strong," said Tina Jones.
According to police, two men stormed into the house and shot Antwan Jones several times.
The men responsible fled in what police believe is a white truck.
"Justice will be served. I'm hurt, but I'm trying to be strong for my family, I'm trying to be strong for the rest of my kids and grandkids" said Tina Jones.
Police believe the shooting may have been gang-related, but Antwan Jones' family members said he kept to himself and was never involved with gangs.
"Let it (be) understood that this was not gang-related at all. (And) to whoever did this, y'all don't understand what y'all have done to this family," Tina Jones said.
