Remembering SMPD Officer Ken Copeland, North Carolina Furniture Direct gives back & raises awareness

If you spend $1,000 at NCFD they will give $100 to Central Texas Survivor Fund

SAN ANTONIOThe city of San Marcos and the entire area of south Texas was rocked by the death of SMPD Officer Ken Copeland on December 4, 2017. 

Officer Copeland, 58, was shot and killed in the line of duty.

Personal friend, Earl Studdard has started a fundraiser to raise money for Copeland's family. 

Earl Studdard is the President of North Carolina Furniture Direct.

For 19 years, Officer Copeland served the community of San Marcos, Texas sacrificing his life for others.

"If someone wanted to do overtime he was there to help. Ken was a guy that was always there. All of his peers said that about him," Studdard said. 

North Carolina Furniture Direct is Raising Awareness 

 

Thanks to North Carolina Furniture Direct, they are having a fundraiser to help give back to Officer Copeland's wife and four kids.

Studdard said, "I think it's important for all of us in the community to say we've got your back."

How You Can Give Back 

 

When a NCFD customer spends $1,000 or more this month only, NCFD will make a donation in the name of Ken Copeland for $100 to the 100 Club of Central Texas Survivor Fund.

Payments to the 100 Club to the Survivors Fund in memory of Officer Ken Copeland will be used to support the families of fallen first responders.

 

We are very happy to do it. We think the 100 Club of Central Texas is a great cause. The community support so far has been great. We hope that will continue.

These donations will also have messages of support from the donors to give their thanks to Ken's family.
