SAN ANTONIO – Everyone knows birthdays only come once a year. And we probably all know someone who likes to celebrate their entire birthday month.
Enter Bob Mills Furniture, which is turning 50 this year, and is celebrating for nearly two full months. And instead of receiving gifts, the store is giving its customers big prizes for 50 straight days.
“We’re going to take and do something where we really give it back, because these are the people that have supported us for 50 years and given us their business and their friendship,” said Bob Mills, president of the furniture store, which he opened in 1972 at the age of 23.
On Saturday, the furniture store will have a big blowout, where there will be furniture giveaways, food trucks and anniversary doorbusters.
The party will run from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday. And while the celebrations will go on for 50 days, once a week, one customer will win their entire purchase for free.
