South San ISD is partnering with six community agencies to offer mental wellness services for enrolled students and their families.
This collaboration was created from the advocacy efforts of a group of South San High School students who saw the barriers students faced in accessing mental health services.
Services are offered at no cost to elementary, middle and high school students and their families.
Through the South San Mobile Mental Wellness partnership, services are provided at the student’s campus or the South San Care Zone, located in the annex building of Athens Elementary.
Services range from providing school supplies, health care, counseling, mental health counseling, mentor programs, tutoring and food distribution to provide professional development in critical developmental stages of all school-age children.
Family services, grief support and substance abuse are also South San's partners' areas of service.
