SA gets marquee matchups, likely player of the year for NCAA's

Baylor, Iowa State, North Carolina make trip to San Antonio

San Antonio and the AT&T Center are set to host some big games and marquee teams in this year's NCAA Tournament.

Eight teams will visit the Alamo City for second- and third round games on Friday and Sunday.

Baylor from the Big 12 will take on old conference foe Nebraska out of the Big Ten at 11:40 a.m.

Creighton and likely player of the year Doug McDermott will play Louisiana-Lafayette out of the Sun Belt Conference at 2:10 p.m.

The evening session features Big East Tournament champion Providence against legendary head coach Roy Williams and the North Carolina Tar Heels at 6:20 p.m.

The final game of the day Friday features Big 12 Tournament champion Iowa State against North Carolina Central from the MEAC at 8:50 p.m.  

The winners of the four games will play Sunday for the right to go to the Sweet 16 in their respective regions.
