POTH, Texas – The Poth Pirates return 11 starters from a team that finished 8-3 last season.
Poth advanced to the playoffs after finishing in a 3-way tie for second in the district.
One of the Pirates key returning starters is Luke Cantu who rushed for almost 1,000 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Cantu is switching to quarterback this season and his likely replacement is Jhett George.
Poth will kickoff its season at Randolph High School on Sept. 1 at 7:30 p.m.
