SAN ANTONIO – Steele High School standout Caden Sterns continues to pile up the preseason awards.
USA Today named Sterns to its preseason All-American defensive team Thursday.

Sterns is one of only three Texas high school football players on the list of 24 players from across the country.
Sterns is verbally committed to the University of Texas and listed No. 1 on KSAT’s Elite 12 list for the upcoming high school football season.
Dave Campbell’s Texas Football also named Sterns as its 2017 preseason defensive player of the year.
The Steele senior had 88 tackles and four interceptions, two returned for touchdowns, last season. He also played wide receiver at times last season.
