SAN ANTONIO – The Edison Golden Bears are looking for another winning season, but this time, they want a trip to the playoffs to go along with it.
Edison finished 7-3 overall last year, but missed the playoffs despite a 5-3 record in the tough District 28-5A.
The Golden Bears have a new head coach, former defensive coordinator Jesse Monreal, and return nine starters.
Six of those starters are on offense, including wideout Brandon Olivares and a strong offensive line.
Edison will kick off its season on Sept. 1 at Pleasanton.
