SAN ANTONIO – Meet Instant Replay’s newest Scholar Athlete of the Week, Jason Peña of McCollum High School.
Jason is a three-year member of the varsity tennis team where he won second place in district for boys doubles. Jason is a member of the National Technical Honor Society and the Health Occupations Students of America. He maintains a 3.8 grade point average and is ranked in the top nine percent of his class. Jason plans to attend college and major in Nursing.
WHAT MEMORIES DO YOU TAKE AWAY WITH YOU AS YOU LEAVE HIGH SCHOOL?
“My fondest memory of high school has to be back in my sophomore year when I won second place in district for the tennis tournament. It was my first year playing on varsity and it was a big accomplishment.”
WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR YOUR FELLOW STUDENTS?
“Try to manage your time for school, your sport, your friends and your family.”
WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER YOU GRADUATE HIGH SCHOOL?
“I plan to attend college and major in Nursing. I always wanted to be a nurse since I was little and I like helping people.”
